This intriguing specimen is a cord marked, globular pot that originated in Ancient China yet I currently have no cultural attribution for it. It does not appear to have been made on a wheel. Pots of this type are generally associated with the Warring States period or perhaps a bit earlier. The pottery is dark brown on the inside and has soil encrustations and root fibers along its surface. This is a genuine antiquity and would make a great addition to any collection or would even look great as a centerpiece. It's roughly 15 cm tall and 23 cm wide. It is truly a lovely piece.
