These are four matching antique double-arm Neoclassical sconces dates from the 1920’s. The back plates feature a large roundel with a center floret and a ribbed border, and are crowned at the top with a cluster of laurel leaves. The border of the back plate is composed of several volutes, which curve outward at their intersections, framing clusters of acanthus leaves. One pair of these volutes curves away from the back plate to become sconce arms. At the end of each arm is a block ornamented with acanthus, on which a foliate bobeche rests. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 10 ¾” tall, 9 ½” wide, and protrude 3 ½” from the wall. THE PRICE IS FOR EACH PAIR OF SCONCES; THERE ARE TWO PAIRS AVAILABLE.
