Set of 4 Victorian, enamel and filigree openwork cut steel buttons. Made in France, 19th century. They are large: over 1 7/8inches in diameter.Exceptional buttons. A ring of cut steel, openwork patterns and raised steel arrows. Filigree pattern of star, extends to twisted, crossed strands and end in scrolling, interlocking patterns along the inner border. The surface flowers are enamelled in pink, purple and geen while the border ring is enamelled in light and dark blue. Fabulous play of light caused by the faceted cut steel.Condition is excellent.
