For Sale I have a lovely piece of art pottery made by The Rookwood Pottery Company of Cincinnati, Ohio. The shape is a Vase and is a very nice example of Arts and Crafts Pottery. The Vase measures 6 5/16" tall and is 2 13/16" wide at the base. The rim measures 1 7/8" wide outside diameter. The Vase has a slender tapered form and is adorned at the collar with embossed Lily Bells, Vines and Leaves in a scrolling type fashion. The glaze is a warm Honey Caramel wash that resembles a Flambe Glaze accented on the main body of the piece. This will surely be a favorite for the collector of Rookwood Pottery. The Vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips, or dings. There are a few very small pin holes in the glaze and are insignificant to the Value. The piece is signed on the bottom with Rookwood's reverse "RP" Sunburst Logo along with the Roman Numerals XXXI for the year of manufacture, 1931. There is also the mold number "2111" impressed just under the Roman Numeral Year.
