Rare French faience mantle clock from the St. Clement Faiencerie.( East of France) This grand specimen is in perfect condition and is in running order. Superb detail with motifs including the cross of Lorraine, thistle and crenated towers. About the clock works: movement is French and original to the clock. The works are marked with the maker's name “Marti” and have a platform lever escapement which strikes on the hour and half hour.
