Many features typical of the more elaborate writing desks of this period including the raised structure with miniature pedestals with drawers, a raised rear gallery, distinctive brass handles and the cruciform shaped leather writing surface to the break front main level. With each main pedestal containing two drawers and an under tray/shelf all supported on beautifully turned legs and original castors with brown porcelain wheels this is a great example of the best quality writing furniture of the period. Original brass handles. Locks stamped with a crown and VR.
