Fantastic antique boxed newel post in heart pine with an acorn finial, dating from 1910. Salvaged out of Louisville, KY, this box newel features a simple body with two carved stripes near the top and crowned by a graceful acorn finial. The newel has been painted white and is in good antique condition with some chips and wear as shown. The newel post measures 6†wide and 55-1/2†tall.
