Victorian, circa 1870 Holdcroft Majolica basket decorated with pond lily pads and flowers on mottled brown and green ground. Handle molded as two branches bound together with rope. Flared rim. Mauve interior. Four feet molded as lily buds. Three stilt marks to underside. Good. No cracks. No hairlines. Tiny flakes to flowers. Kiln effects: kiln detritus to interior; tiny glaze pops to flowers. Restored flakes to handle. Restored chip to flower. 7.75ins wide, 5.5ins high
