Important George Washington Commemorative Pottery Flask, Circa 1830. #C6665 - For Sale

Important George Washington Commemorative Pottery Flask, Circa 1830. #C6665
Price: $2495.00
Here is a rare, rare, rare, earthenware flask with a deep brown slip glaze most probably made in the Albany, New York area to commemorate the centennial of George Washington’s birth (1832).
It is circular in form with a portrait likeness of the Father of Our Country in an oval frame, beneath a ribbon and surrounded by a stand of arms: flags, a cannon and cannon balls, a musket, pole arms, a drum, etc.!!! It is about 6” tall x 5” wide x 2” deep. Excellent condition! No repairs or restorations. No cracks. Only 2 very small mouth outer edge flakes as seen in photos, some in manufacture glaze losses on the bottom where the glaze popped in the making, and a few minute flakes and minute chips as seen in the photos. An old woven “hanging” cord that has been with the flask for a long time accompanies it.
You will probably never see another of these again!
