Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica plate. Turquoise center with white basketweave surround and hanging leaves. Mottled reverse with three stilt marks. Painted pattern number ''3225'' in reserve inside the foot. Similar piece illustrated on page 81, Schiffer''s ''Victorian Majolica'' by Leslie Bockol. Good. No restoration. No cracks. No hairlines. No chips. Slight wear to front and reverse. Very slight patchy staining to the center. Kiln effect: thin white glaze application to the border. 9.25ins diameter
