Mah-jong or Mahjong Game. Mah-jong or Mahjong set in original teak box. The pieces are made of composit and come in five lift out trays. Mah-jong is a four-player game involving skill, strategy, and calculation, as well as a certain degree of luck. Depending on the variation which is played, luck can be anything from a minor to a dominant factor in success. The object of the game is to build complete suits - or melds - while keeping an eye on your opponents and judging how close to winning they seem to be. As in poker it is important to know when to play aggressively and when to resort to defensive play. Circa: 1900
