Very pretty little fob watch holder, made in a chair shape with a pearly shell on four little legs, and a back with brass leaf design and hook to hold the watch. Possibly more for a lady's watch, which was smaller in diameter than a full fob watch. Often these were used in a bedroom, where your fob watch could double as a bedside clock.Last two photos show an example of a watch on the holder. (Watch not included here!). Frame work is gilded brass, and genuine half shell. Dates from late 19th to very early 20th century. Measures 11.5 cm high and 6.1 cm wide. Very good original condition.
