Attractive jade ring - oval, mounted in what appears to be gold. There is a faint hallmark inside the band, but this is worn - all that is readable is ct (for carat), possibly 9ct. The colour is a dark rose gold. However, I can't get a positive test for this. Lovely oval piece of green jade. Face of ring measures 17 mm by 7 mm. The ring fitting is English size M+ (USA size 6.1/4) with an inside diameter of 16.90 mm. The mount surrounding the stone has a small fault near the shoulder join (see photo), but is quite secure. Would date around 1920s plus.
