This is an original early unsigned Miriam Haskell lilac flower clip with all molded glass beads, leaves and buds. I purchased it from the artist''s nephew in the eighties. The piece had a large leaf broken off leaving a gap in the front of the pin. During my designing years at Nightingale Designs it sat in my repair box until I finally added a multi crystal segment which had the deep blue of the original portion along with other colorful marquis shaped crystal rhinestones. This was for my own enjoyment and the pin has been in my collection for many years. I mostly enjoyed it for display sometimes putting on a decorative box or even wearing it. The pin measures 4 1/2'' long by 3 1/2'' wide. It replicates a lilac flower with dangling buds on two chains and a large molded glass leaf. The shades of blue are many. The back is a rather small two prong fur clip. There is vertigris on the two chains but the clip is outherwise sturdy and beautiful.It is for the person who appreciates beautiful objects and not the purist.
