Gorgeous antique tiger oak fireplace mantel, dating from the early 1900s. The mantel's top edge is beveled, coming down to a lower projecting shelf. The shelf features intricate scrolling foliage and is supported by brackets flanked by columns. These Ionic columns form the mantel legs, each crowned by a capital of carved details, and ending in a boxed base. This quarter sawn mantel is in very good condition. It measures 60" wide, 58" tall and 11" deep, and has a firebox opening of approximately 41-1/2" wide and 38-5/8" tall.
