Marcel Vertes, Hungarian/French, 1895-1961, etching, "Au Dancing" (At the Dance), image size 6 3/4 x 4 7/8 inches, pencil signed and numbered 46/100. Vertes won two Academy Awards (Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design) for his work on the 1952 film "Moulin Rouge." He also created the murals in the Café Carlyle in the Carlyle Hotel in New York City.
