Sensational 'Hakudo' white bronze (alloy of bronze and nickel) flower vase by the renown master Tadao Shoda. Shoda is from Sano City in Tochigi Prefecture which has a 1000 year history of being the home of the famous Tenmyo cast metal works. Most of the highest quality weapons of the Kamakura and Edo Periods came from these masters. Shoda won the Sano Renaissance Gold Prize. This elegant flower vase has textured sides sandwiched between smooth white bronze tapered sides.
