From the late Edo c.1865 this is the best antique Japanese 'tsuno' face washing basin Kodo Arts has ever seen. Used in Kyoto by a Gion District geisha, the thickly black lacquered wood basin has maki-e gold swirling rivers and flowers on its banks throughout.
