Outsized Alice in Wonderland-like Louis XV wing chair framed in ornately carved, kiln-dried, gold-leafed gesso poplar. Upholstered in cream cotton canvas with a pattern of large-print leaves, vines and flowers in crimson wool embroidery. Labeled Furniture Makers of Brooklyn, NY.
USA C.1965, Uniform chipping in antique leafed gesso finish enhances patina. Fading in print on right side. Small stain on underside of seat cushion. In good vintage condition.
