This is a pretty rare offering from the Beaver Falls Tile Company. A squirrel holds an acorn in its hands and sits inside a framed green border. Made in the dry line, or cuerda seca process. The back had an embossed '' M32 BFAT Co No. 22'' This tile was photographed for the book Encyclopedia of American Art Tile by Norman Karlson. There is one small chip on the bottom edge. A crisp transfer of Aesops Fable, The Wild Boar And The Fox: A Wild Boar stood under a tree and rubbed his tusks against the trunk. A Fox passing by asked him why he thus sharpened his teeth when there was no danger threatening from either huntsman or hound. He replied, ''I do it advisedly; for it would never do to have to sharpen my weapons just at the time I ought to be using them.'' The tile is siliconed into a simple black wood frame. There is a small glaze miss on the upper right corner and a craze line in the boar.
