Circa 1840 Chinese Export Rose Medallion Chamber Stick with the mold for the snuffer to go over but as is the case mostly, the delicate snuffers are either broken or lost. Many times the missing rose medallion snuffers were replaced with custom made silver snuffers. This one was made for the English or American Market. We presently have another one of these on our web site that is also missing a snuffer. That one has tobacco leaves in the pattern of the candle holder and that one was made for the Persian Market. We are thinking of having a custom silver snuffer made for both of these chamber candlesticks. The diameter of the base is 5 3/4" in width and the height of the chamberstick is 3 3/4". Nice Quality for this rare form and in good condition.   « Less

Circa 1800 English Oak Hanging Shelf. This Wall shelf with three shelves is made of Antique English Oak and stained in the manner of the 1700's Jacobean. Three shelves that has a strip running left to right to place plates behind so as to display plates such as showed. This early piece of furniture is over 72" in total width from left to right. The total height is 42" and the depth of the shelves are 5 1/2" in the middle section and the left and right sections are 7 1/2" in depth. This original piece was made in England to be a top part of piece of furniture that it rested on. We presently have it attached to a plaster wall and is perfect for the collection of blue and white plates. These Plates are Chinese Export Blue Canton Dinner plates measuring 9 1/2" in diameter. The plates date from Circa 1890. On the top Middle Shelf is the last piece we have left of Blue Fitzhugh that bears the arms of Hill Dawe of Ditcheat House of Somerset. This Amorial crest is identified by David Howard in his Book, Chinese Export Porcelain, on Page 690. Just below on the next shelf,We are displaying Three of 12 (Perfect Dozen) Mottahedeh Reproduction Orange Fitzhugh Dinner Plates with the American Eagle. In addition to the above we have now sold all the fitzught armorial plates and we are showing a open tureen with that armorial. Since we have sold the fitzhugh armorial plates we are showing other plates in our vast chinese export inventory. These plates are three of a set of 12 Mottahedeh Orange Fitzhugh plates with the American Eagle. Also we are showing six Blue Canton Dinner Plates and. Also included on the bottom shelf are Three rose Mandarin Luncheon Plates and last but not least is the top shelf. On the top left ids a Blue Fitzhugh warming plate on the top right is a Green Fitzhugh Plate bearing the American Eagle.   « Less

18TH Century or earlier Solid Pewter Salt Bowl supported with very nice feet resembling a paw. This is definetly old. I guarantee that. Recently came out of an old estate in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This salt measures 3" in diameter and 1 1/3" in height. Beautiful moulded piece with feet that are just fabulous. I am not that knowledgeable on pewter as I always have admired. I am a dealer in chinese export porcelain and having exhibited at many shows I was always intrigued with pewter. This piece is guaranteed 100% or money back with no questions asked. SOLD--18TH Century Original Fireback with a armorial crest, coat of arms with lions that was purchased about 5 years ago from the Estate of Chef Boyardee on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the vicinity of St. Michaels and Oxford, Md. The location on the Chesapeake Bay. This estate actually built by the chef's son Mario BOIARDI. It is a Gorgeous 26,000 Square Foot Georgian on the Wye River. The name of the estate is Penderyn. Actually this gaudy mansion may have been a showcase but it was not a home. Actually it was strongly rumored that Michael Jackson was negotiating to purchase the $35 Million Estate. We have not been able confirm that Jacko bought the estate, but confidential sources we have heard sighted Mr. Jackson staying at the Inn at Perry Cabin. Other interested parties in purchasing this castle was Oprah, Mike Tyson, Shaquille Oneil, The Ferrari Corp. and on and on goes the dreamers. This fireback has been in our house since we purchased it. Since we are moving to smaller quarters we have decided to not take the fireback with us. It measures 30 1/4" wide X 34 1/4" In Height. This is definetely too heavy to ship by standard means. It would have to go by freight, pick-up or for us the deliver if it was in a 300 mile radius. It probably weighs about 300 lbs. The armorial crest consists of two lions on their hind feet with a knight's armor helmut in the middle with flower decoration over the top.   « Less
