circa: 1920 width: 18.5 height: 43 length: 18 These gorgeous antique oak dining chairs were English-made around 1920. Today, they remain as beautiful as ever, with a rich oak complexion and pronounced grain, while the leather provides a lovely contrast to the wood. The barley twist framing is as sturdy as it is elegant, and the removable seats remain as comfortable as ever. These beautiful and sturdy chairs have sustained only very minor scuffs and scrapes to the wood, so overall condition is very good. « Less

circa: 1920 width: 21 height: 37 length: 21 This beautiful oak antique armchair was hand-crafted in England around 1920 and recently imported to our antique furniture store here in Atlanta, GA, USA. After nearly a century, the oak looks absolutely stunning, with a rich complexion and a fine, subtle grain. Partly, this is due to the natural development of a patina in the wood, although the exquisite carvings in this chair are quite remarkable. Indeed, it is a rare sight to see such detail, even in older antique furniture, and this antique armchair not only boasts detail but also variety, as it features not only intricate floral carvings but also a wonderful combination of plain and bobbin twist framing. The cane seat, which can be removed for easy cleaning, also looks quite lovely. Structural integrity remains excellent and there is no surface wear to speak of; one of the spindles is loose, although you cannot tell this except by moving it yourself. « Less

circa: 1890 width: 18 height: 17 length: 24 Beautiful carvings adorn this antique Dutch solid oak corner chair. The patina has given way to a lovely darkened grain which compliments the deep color of the solid oak. Floral carvings adorn the skirt on all four sides. Both sides of the corner chair have open carved faces which are simplistically replicated on the back of the chair. The legs are bobbin-turned with charming carvings on both the top rail and splats. Solid-brass brads run the circumference of the corner chair keeping the upholstery in place. There are several wood fractures and some of the carvings have sustained some damage (see pictures). A few of the brass brads are replaced or missing. The finish has sustained some minor wear throughout its lifetime. Despite these imperfections this antique Dutch corner chair remains quite sturdy and would be a lovely addition to any collection. « Less
