Elegant British mahogany china cabinet imported from England and dating back to the very early 1900's. There is a single glass door to the front with curved glass sides and 3 fabric lined shelves inside. The fabric is more of a peach color velvet and seems to be original. The shape and curves are accented with single lines of lighter colored inlay stringing. On top is mounted a softly arched crown and below there is a single open shelf. The whole thing stands on four elegant tapered legs. The brass drop handle on the door is not original but is old and suits the piece well. The lock and key are no longer present. Like any antique furniture, this piece does have it's flaws, however they are only very minor and are as follows. There is minor wear and dings throughout but nothing significant enough to mention. The top on the left side has a slight warp which is hardly noticeable. The glass on the door may have been replaced at some point but it is not obvious and all the glass is in great shape. There is some fading, wear and marks to the interior fabric. All of the above mentioned flaws are only normal in a piece of this age and are reflected in the price. Over all this very elegant display cabinet is in solid, sturdy condition with minor age appropriate flaws. Dimensions: width 36", depth 13", total height 67 1/2". Antique English satinwood pot cupboard imported from England and dating back to C.1900. You would never know that these kind of small side cabinets were originally used to store the chamber pot in the English Victorian and Edwardian bedroom. Hence the name 'pot cupboard'. Now they make great side tables or plant stands. This particular one has a very simple arts and crafts style. The single paneled door to the front opens to reveal a storage space with a shelf. The door also boasts the original beautiful decorative brass drop handle. The satinwood has developed a wonderful patina over time with a smooth satin look and golden glow. There are some dark marks on top and minor age appropriate wear. There is also a split on one side due to climate change causing movement in the wood. All of this is shown in the pictures and in my opinion only adds to the character and charm of a piece like this. Over all it is in solid sturdy condition and ready to be re-utilized in your home. One piece cupboard with top having canted section which goes from 9-1/2” deep to 12-1/2” on the bottom. This rare step-back primitive pine cupboard has a lovely, weathered honey brown patina. There are remnants of an old blue-green wash in some surface pits. Three graduated shelves in the open, white-washed top area are grooved for displaying plates. The bottom has a central door with one shelf behind. Door is held shut with a wooden turn-screw. The door has a raised and chamfered central panel. The interior of the door displays a worn, grain-painted surface. The cupboard has boot-jack ends and an arched front apron. The front surface displays a bead molding on the outer edge. There are square nails used in its construction. The rear of the cupboard is composed of 3 long boards. It appears that there have been some replacement board feet inserted into the bottom few feet of the left two boards. There is a diagonal crack apparent in the top of the central rear board. • Overall height is 80” from floor. • Overall width is 30 ¾”. • Base is 16 ½” deep. • Upper section is 9 ½” deep at the top, tapering to 12½” deep at the base of the upper section. • Door measurements are 28” high x 20 ½” wide. This cupboard is solid and sturdy. The old stained surface is worn, pitted and cracked in places. There are nicks and scratches expected in a piece approaching 200 years of age. Measures 68 inches high, 32 inches wide, 19 inches deep inside and 22 inches outside. This is a rare diminutive size for a period French country cupboard. Hand made with a block plane and joined with wooden pins. Original hardware and key. This neat cupboard with enamel top white with a black edge around the outside. It has a drawer below with open space inside and a door below the drawer. The door opens into a pull out shelf about half way that can be used if you have larger items to store. The color of the piece is a cherry look and has been refinished to bring some of its beauty back. It's height makes it very easy to work off of and also a great height to store things on top so it is a your finger tips in the kitchen. Must see to appreciate.
