Antique, Victorian dog brooch. 14carat gold set with rose cut diamond eyes and an old mine cut diamond in it''s mouth. Circa 1860-90. A little over 1 inch in diameter, fully 3 dimentional from the front. Weighs 8.8grams. Realistically modelled dog - of the terrier family (we have been told he''s a Westie or Cairn), with long coat and little pointy ears. Fabulous detail in every lock of hair. Marvellous expression given to the eyes by the shaggy eyebrows. Great little jowels with hand-engraved detail. The diamond in the dog''s mouth is estimated at .32ct. The pin is closed at the back. Vintage, estate ring in 18carat gold and enamel. Made by TIffany & Co and designed by the great designer Shlumberger, circa 1950-60''s. Approx US size 6 - 6 1/2. Weighs 7.5grams. The ring is very sophisticated and clever: it consists of a simple band, emerald green guilloche enamel covering most of the surface, bordered by a narrow border of gold on either side. At intervals of about 1cm, little gold loops, surround the ring. They are attached to the gold borders and quite seperate from the enamel. Thus the ring is enclosed in a pretty openwork cage of gold and empty space. A lovely 3-dimentional design. Looks wonderful on the fingers. Hallmarks in the shank: TIFFANY 18K SCHLUMBERGER. Antique, Edwardian very long chain necklace - 18k gold and diamonds. Made 1900 - 1910. Necklace measures approx 63inches long. It weighs 20grams. THe necklace is typical of the fine workmanship of the Edwardian era. Also consistant with that Belle Epoque is the use of small diamonds to offset jewellery. The necklace consists of sections of small loops, divided by a diamond and alternating with a long ''loop''. THe long sections have mirror-image flat, leaf shapes, with a twisted gold coil in an open space between them. A gemologise estimated that there are well over 2 carats of diamonds in the necklace, including the fact that one small stone is missing (shown magnified in the pictures) - very easy to replace. Estate brooch / pin made 20th century but with the design and workmanship of the best antique jewellery. Carved gem stone, diamonds, set in 18k gold. Approx 3 1/4 inches long. Weighs 14.2grams. A smoky grey moonstone, carved into a wonderful smiling moonface, complete with wrinkles. Set in a gold colette, wrapped around the face like a scarf and connected to a long, pointed, tapering cone, in the form of a very long wizard''s hat. The long cone is set with diamonds all the way up. Diamonds are set beneath the surface and have a marvellous starry sparkle, reinforcing the magical theme of the piece. WHile clearly a modern piece, the workmanship of this brooch is in the same high class as the antiques rarely equalled today. The lighthearted them makes the brooch wearable at any time and for any occasion and is a great contra to the serious quality and design. Hallmarked on the back under the clasp: 18K and a maker''s mark in a lozenge. Very good condition. Antique Victorian carbuncle garnet earrings. Made 19th century. Measure1 3/8 inches (approx 33mm) long, excluding the loops. Weigh 9.5 grams. Old, Victorian garents in a deep wine colour that glints and flashes as the light catches the stones. A double flower form with a cabochon carbuncle in the center of each and smaller, faceted stones forming the border. Suspended from a small garnet by a pair of loops, so that the earrings swing with every movement of the wearer. Hang from simple loops are convenient to insert through the ears and comfortable for wearing. The earrings have closed backs, indicating that they are really early. The gold is unmarked, but low carat (approx 9 carat), with the loops testing for 12 ct. gold. Very good condition. Antique, Victorian bangle bracelet in 14k gold with diamond and ruby snakes. Made circa 1850-1880. 2 1/2 inches accross from hing to clasp when measured from the outside. 2 1/4 inches accross when measured from the inside. Will fit an average sized wrist comfortably (about 7 inches). Weighs 6.4 grams. Plain gold band with a pair of snakes twining around the band from hing to clasp, and over and about each other. One snake is set with rubies and the other with diamonds. Another diamond is set in the gap in the middle between the two snake heads and both have diamond eyes. Bangle has a safety chain as well as a safety clasp, indicating the high quality. There is a small solering mark above the hinge, mentioned for the sake of accuracy, but otherwise very good condition. Antique, Georgian torpedo drop earrings. Made late 18th century. Circa 1780. Excluding the loops, these are over 2 1/4 inches long. Drop dead gorgeous, classic Georgian earrings, made of gilt metal (not gold). A 3-leaved clover suspends a torpedo shape with moulded, scrolling sides and front and back very finely moulded with fruit, foliage and other pretty patterns. Lobed bottom in decreasing sizes, also finely detailed. While the earrings are not gold and the highly magnified ''photos show wear to the gilding, this is not noticeable to the naked eye. The earrings look great, are very comfortable to wear and considering their age, in good shape without dings or dents. Antique Georgian rose diamond drop earrings. Circa 1780. Measure 1 7/16 inches long, not including the loops. Weigh 9 grams. Earrings are set in silver with gold backs, which was the way the Georgians did most jewellery. The backs of the stones are fully enclosed, indicating the early age. The stones are in pulled settings with little pinched creases as decoration on the sides of the metal. A loop is attached to one stone from which the rest of the earring is suspended. A tear-drop shape, all outlined with a border of diamonds and one on the bottom for extra elegance. The center suspends a pair of diamonds - one small on top and a much larger one, which swings as the wearer moves. This is a particularly attractive pair of Georgian earrings that are great to wear either by day or night. The earrings are in very good condition. Ruby and Sapphire are each about 4-5mm in length. Stunning example of classic, early Victorian jewellery. A pair of intertwined hearts under a bow knot. The ring is entirely outlined with a border of rose cut diamonds, which also constitute the bow above the hearts. (probably symbolising fidelity). The centers of the hearts are set with a pair of large gems, each with beautiful, deep colour. Simple pattern on shoulders of shank. Good condition.
