According to sources she evan painted some of her furniture in this art deco style.This big rug had to have some restoration and some cleaning.It has two sleeves on the back to help to support it if it is to be hung.It is an outstanding and different hooked rug.74in by 25in(185cm by 62cm).Would prefer to keep the two together   « Less

Incredible plaster sculpture pair. Open on the top of the head to be use as lamp ? or plant holder ? Obvisously very old. I would say 1930/1940. These sculptures were baught in a familly estate in Marseille where they were said to be from Mermoz steam Ship. I am not so sure about this hypothesis as I would say these sculptures are older. (Mermoz ship was 1950's) I found a french sculptor who did several similar sculptures including one of them that was displayed i Normandie boat in 1935. This sculptor is Carlo Sarrabezolles. Not sure that this artist is the sculptor of these mermaids but there is no doubt that in the 1930's and 1940's, in France many shipping companies decorated their building and ships with such symbolic sculptures. More over the fastening marks around the necks of the Mermaid show these sculpture were displayed in a public space. For a private use, a more discrete system would have been found ! 150cm high = 59" high   « Less

Palm tree decorative centerpiece in glass and wire. One of a kind, two piece centerpiece made of glass leaves, metallic thread and wire. Each leaf can be moved to change the look slightly. The leaves are cast glass with veins and the base is cast free form. All the glass sparkles as does the metallic thread that wraps the wire. Art Deco polished chrome cocktail shaker. Fresh from an immaculate local home, this tall elegant cocktail shaker is in the most amazing original condition imaginable. The family member who sold it to us assured me it had been used but you would never know from looking at it. Completely clean in and out, both the top lid and spout cover fit perfectly, no scratches or dents anywhere. Perfect for the fussy collector.
