Very pleased to offer for your consideration today,is this wonderful gilt silver-(tested) Hungarian ring.Notice the typical intricate Hungarian finishing to the back and the entire band too. Very ornate metal work surrounds a deep emerald green cabochon stone.The stone is some sort of beryl stone. The ring is approx a size 8. Condition is very nice. The stone shows only natural inclusions and is roughly polished. The gilt on the silver is in very good condition. The ring has not been cleaned and could really use a good cleaning. I am very thrilled to have found this mourning necklace with the last Estate we purchased.Bought this one in Georgia.I believe this is a wonderful old Memento, usually purchased to remember ones vacation aboard.Now days we purchase T-shirts back then it was jewelry.What happened? This became very popular in the mid to late 1800's to wear for times of mourning.Suitable because of the dark colors and very light weight, many women spent most of their lives in mourning for person or the other. The necklace is in very nice condition...but there is a hoop replacement in the front that attaches the locket.This works well and not noticeable to the novice. But you collectors can see.Nice Fix, I will remember this one in the future.The locket is in very nice condition with the exception to where the hinge is on one side has been glued back. This ring is one of those items that says.. ( I Got To Have It!) This is one of those items that we don't get very often. Everyone wants the very large rings these days, well here is a prized vintage ring. Sure to please those who love the very large jewelry. I've said large several times, I wanted to clarify the grand size of this fantastic jewel. The ring measures an impressive 1 1/2 long and 7/8 wide . The ring height is 3/4 tall. Wonderfully set in an open work filigree setting. Accented with twisted metal-work and balls. Navette style. The rich red natural garnet measures approx. 1cm long by over 1/4 inch wide. There are 30 small seed pearls that surround the garnet. There are also 29 larger seed pearls on the lower level of the setting. The ring size is approx 8 1/2. There is a markers mark ( unable to make it out) Please view all pictures. This ring is 14 kt gold (acid tested)and appears to have been sized up at some point. This is probably where the mark would have been.. Weighting an impressive 15.1 grams. This is a vintage ring, ( excellent condition-probably late 50's-early 60's) Because it is a precious metal it can be easily sized to fit. Please take time to view other items. This is a massive ring. The ring measures an impressive 1 1/2 long and is 1 1/8 inch wide. The ring is in a flower motif. There are nine faceted Garnets disbursed through-out the ring in a flower design. This has always been a ring,it is not a conversion. Usually when I see them this large they are brooches that have been converted. The ring is 14kt gold, not marked (but acid tested) The ring size is 7 1/2-8 The kind of jewelry that makes a statement. If you like small rings, then this is not for you. But if you are like me and really Love large and impressive jewelry, are you in luck. This is one of the best I have had in a long time.   « Less
