Lovely Limoge chocolate pot. As graceful a piece of Victoriana as I have seen. Delicate, hand painted flowers and greenery done in soft pastel shades of pink and green, on a white body that is also shaded in pink and green, finished with sprays of bright brushed gold, all on a fine French porcelain blank. This fine tall pot has all the extra detail we expect in the finest 19th century porcelain from it's wonderful professional decoration to the shape of it's handle and spout. Fully marked by the well known Ahrenfeldt Company, Mark #3. Fresh from a local Brooklyn, New York estate. Good original condition with no damage or repairs, what looks like a crack or discoloration in the photos was a mark left by old scotch tape which we have successfully removed. 9 1/2" tall x 7 1/4" widest.   « Less

Exceptional Dresden tea set, consisting of a tea pot and covered sugar bowl. Fully marked for the very well regarded Carl Thieme Saxony Porcelain Factory in Dresden, Germany. This company began as a decorating studio in 1860 and began to produce its own porcelain in 1872. Thieme decorated his porcelain in the style and patterns of the finest European makers, Vienna, Sevres and Meissen, and employed expert porcelain painters to create beautiful and realistic floral and botanical arrangements in the "alt Dresden" style. This particular set is the loveliest I have ever seen with an exceptional Rococo style, featuring graceful open work handles, exquisitely rendered flowers and lavishly applied brushed gold details. Both the tea pot and the sugar bowl are in excellent original condition with no signs of wear or use. A rare find, fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. Tea pot is 10" wide (handle to spout), 6 1/2" tall x 6" wide. Sugar bowl is 6" wide x 5" tall x 5" deep. Price for the set 750   « Less

Gorgeous four piece tea set. This lovely set consists of a double handled porcelain tray or platter, elegant tea pot, large covered sugar bowl and cream pitcher. Nice large size tray with a pretty and feminine design of colorful flowers on a white back round with cut-out ribbon shaped handles in gold. Very good original condition, with wear to the gilded handles on the tray only. Fresh from a local Brooklyn estate. 16 1/2" x 14" tray, 7" tall tea pot, 6" tall sugar bowl and 4" tall creamer. A very good Worcester teapot of reeded French shape and stand decorated in the Scarlet Japan pattern with panels of chrysanthemum and prunus alternating with orange bands reserving white mons decorated with gilt latticework. This set having excellent provenence being part of the Sir Jeremy Lever collection. Teapot and stand typically unmarked, Sir Jeremy Lever collection labels to all pieces. The tip of the spout has had a small amount of restoration. There are original firing cracks to one side of the spout. The enamels and gilt are in excellent order. The lid has a small firing fault to one of the orange panels, there is one minute chip to one petal of the finial although this is barely noticable. The enamels and gilt are excellent. The stand has a very small chip to the underside edge of the rim, there is only light wear to the stand. Teapot measures 12cms high. Stand measures 14.8cms. A fine and rare miniature or toy teapot decorated in the Three Flowers pattern. Minature teapots are more often found decorated in the Prunus Root pattern. This delightful little teapot is a rare survivor and has only suffered a small chip to the side and tip of the spout. The lid is a little loose so may be married. Marked with the Worcester crescent to the base. There are no other chips, cracks or restoration. Measures 10cm high O/A. An exquisite small Worcester globular teapot and cover. Hand painted in underglazed blue with the Cannonball pattern. A very early and beautiful example of this popular pattern. Marked with a workman's mark to the base. The teapots cover is possibly a married one as the fitting is somewhat loose although the proportions and finial are exactly right and period correct. Remarkably this lovely Worcester teapot has suffered no damage at all and has had no restoration. The scenes are crisp and clear with no blurring. Measures just 13cms high. A fine Worcester globular teapot C 1770 finely painted with large floral sprays to each side and individual flower sprigs all below an iron red and gold border. The lid painted with flower sprigs with a beautifully moulded flower and leaf finial. Apart from a crack to one petal on the finial and minute nibbles to the ends of the petals this Worcester teapot shows little signs of use, the enamels have only one or two minor small scratches. A beautiful C 1770 Worcester teapot exquisitely decorated in the Chinese export style with a flower spray within an oval gilded panel further flower sprigs with iron red and gold border complete the decoration on this charming little Worcester teapot. In excellent condition the enamels are perfect with virtually no scratching or wear. The gilt line on the edge of the lid and the top of the spout are the only signs that the teapot has been used at all. The extreme tip of one petal of the floral finial has a small chip and a small firing flaw to the underside of the top loop of the handle. Measures just 14cm high. A truly outstanding C 1770 Worcester teapot together with its stand, beautifully gilded and decorated with festoons of husks and pattera. The same design and pattern can be seen in the Worcester Museum in their star lots section. This teapot and stand formerly part of the renowned collector and author Geoffrey Goddens own collection, latterly the Grice collection. The gilding on the teapot and stand is quite remarkable, it is without any wear at all. The gilding is as bright and vibrant today as when first applied 240 years ago. Apart from one minute chip to the underside of the spout there is no other damage or restoration. Teapot measures 12.5 cm to top of knop. Stand measures 15 cm at widest point.
