The service is beautifully decorated with a small bouquet of geraniums in the centre and scattered on the rim. ;The rim with a band of orange dots on a gilt shaped ground. Caroline had an unhappy marriage to the Prince of Wales who deserted her within a year of their wedding in 1795. ;She lived abroad for many years but on the death of George III she returned to London amid popular rejoicing. ;She was excluded from the coronation in 1821 and died broken-hearted in the same year.
