Antique hanging clock. Clock is Swiss set in silver with guilloche enamel and marcasites, probably French and dating to the late 19th / early 20th century. Measurements: diameter of clock alone is 1 7/8 inches. The mount is 4 inches long, excluding ribbon and bar with loop. Total length is approx 7 1/4 inches. Exquisitely made and finest, finest workmanship all round. Mount is silver with engine turned, pink guilloche enamel in patterns that seem to hover and dance as the light catches the surface. The bar that suspends the ribbon and rest of the piece is in matching silver and enamel. Both pieces are hallmarked on the back with 935 - above sterling standard of silver. The clock has a border in blue guilloche enamel, also engine turned, with a very fine pattern. It is set with applied numerals, all done in silver and marcasites. The hands of the clock are similarly set. The silver border of the clock has a tiny engraved SWISS. The parts of the clock are connected by a very pretty blue ribbon that might be a replacement of the original. Condition: very good. No damage of any sort found. The clocks works and keeps time. Antique / vintage 17 jewels miniature, gilt bronze, figural clock. The body is English, made by Bentima circa 1930''s and the movement is Swiss. This is a true miniature clock, measuring just over 2 1/2 inches high and a little under 2 inches wide. 4 ball feet support a rectangular casket shaped base. Above this is a domed, elongated body with a round face, engraved Roman numerals, calibrated down to the minute. On top is a winder. Next to the body of the clock is a chinoiserie figure of a Chinaman, sitting cross-legged, with a tall, pointy hat, ruffled collar and engraved detail to his clothing. A round opening at the back reveals the movement, which is very fine and in good, working order. It is engraved with Bentima STAR, SWISS, 17 JEWELS. Good, original condition. Antique Rococo gilt bronze ormolu 8-day miniature carriage clock. Made in France circa 1900. Measures 2 1/2 inches tall not incuding the handle. THe handle reaches a height of just over 3 1/4 inches. Rectangular shape. Rococo style - very rich and ornate. Each corner has a gilt bronze caryatid - pillar in the form of a human. Base and border of top are richly moulded spirals and scrolls. Thick crystal / glass on top, with sloping bevelled sides, reveals part of the jewelled works. Each side has exquisite floral openwork. THe front has a reserve for the clock face. The back has a handle for a door that opens to expose part of the works and in order to wind the clock with the two keys, provided. Clock is in good, working order. Antique handpainted Delft blue and white clock. Made France 19th century. Measures just over 16 inches high. Classic shape with elegant waist and deep curves, the sides arching around to form legs. The entire surface is beautifully handpainted in shades of blue with landscapes, waterscapes, people, insects, boats, windmills, mountains, flowers and foliage. Moulded scrolls around the border highlighted in deep blue. Even the back is richly painted. The enamel dial is very finely painted with blue numerals and delicate ornamentation and is surrounded by a golden coloured metal frame with repousse scrolls. The key, although not shown in the ''photos, is present. There is an artist signature under the clock - see ''photos. Good condition. The clock works. Figural and mechanical French gilt bronze pocket watch stand, shown in Tardy''s book on French clocks, dating to 1780.13 3/4inches high.Stands on 3 ornate legs. An openwork tour de force of relief sculpting: An owl perches above a scrolling shell over which the winged Greek god of time, Chrono, reclines, a long sword/sickle in one raised hand. Above him are various wonderful flowers, cherubs and a rooster, amidst foliage and scrolls. A lever moves a star shaped clasp back / forward to hold a round watch securely.These watch stands are extremely rare and the only other one I have seen was regilded and the owner wouldn''t dream of selling it.The back-most leg has a small crack. The stick holding the scythe is a replacement, as is possibly the scythe itself. No other damage/losses. The gilding is original and in good condition considering it''s age.
