Still in its original case, this pretty marcasite necklace and earrings set is by well-known costume jewellery manufacturer Sphinx. Bow shape, mounted with a faux pearl. The case says "Real Marcasite" (which it indeed is). Sphinx started in the 1950s, and this piece would certainly date 1950s to 1960s. Clip-on earrings. Design number on the earrings is 6886. Retailer's box, Rosita - or could be the design name. Earrings measure 21 mm by 18 mm. Marcasite bow is about 27 mm by 44 mm. Necklace length is 40.5 cm. Condition: Only one fault: the pearl on the necklace has been reglued, and this has taken a little of the skin off the pearl on the sides. This is an easy and cheap fix for a jeweller - just replace the simulated pearl. « Less

Horn beads with reeded decoration and horn flat beads with red beads in between, the necklace is a total of 90 cm long, and the scarab/tassel pendant is a further 10 cm long by 4.5 cm wide.
