This key-wound wall clock Designed after a traditional Jeweler's Regulator clock. Dentil molding wraps around the pediment and diagonally cut overlays appear at the upper corners. The off-white Roman numeral dial offers a solid brass bezel.The front-opening locking glass door showcases the polished brass lyre pendulum and beat plate. Key-wound, Westminster chime movement with chime silence option and durable bronze bushings. Finished in Oak Yorkshire on select hardwoods and veneers. Locking door for added security. Gustav Becker Walnut Vienna Regulator, with carved case, full length glazed door, Movement is marked with Gustav Becker trademarks (Medaille D'or) and serial #223131 which dates this clock 1880. The (2) piece white fired enamel dial has roman numerals and there are no chips or cracks on the dial. The 8 day movement is driven by (2) brass shelled lead filled weights hung from engraved pulleys. The pendulum has wood a rod and a large brass pendulum bob. The clock strikes the hours and 1/2 hours on a coiled gong. Recorded and completely gone through cleaned and maintained in 4/2013. H- 45" x W- 17" x D-7"   « Less

Our stock # LFA1006 This is an opulent 19th century French gilt cartel wall clock in the Louis XV revival style. In excellent condition, the crisp white, enamelled, convex dial with arabic numerals is adorned with finely fretted gilt brass hands and carries the legend 'Le Faucheur Paris'. The curvilinear form of the scrolled and pierced gilded case is a delight for the eyes with foliage ornament decoration and surmounted by a pair of asymmetric flower heads. In good working condition, the clock is driven by a two train spring driven movement designed by renowned horologist S. Marti. Striking on a bell on the hour and half hour, the movement won him the 'Medaille D'Argent' (Silver Medal) in 1889 and keeps good time to this day. The movement is stamped with the serial number ‘775 81’. Pendulum and key included. I am not sure if it copper, brass or just some type of overlay. The clock motor does not run nor does the neon light up. It does make a humming noise when plugged in.
