Georgian Rose Diamond Ring Circa. 1820 British. Solitaire rose diamond in a silver setting. Shank and back are 15K yellow gold, tested with 15K acid. Diamond tested with a diamond tester. Round shaped rose diamond in a pear shaped setting with typical Georgian detail. The setting and diamond measure 1/2 inch high, 3/8 inch wide. Diamond is estimated at .60 carats. Cannot accurately measure because of closed (foil) back setting. The diamond has a noticeable whiteness, not typical of Georgian rose cuts. The ring is a size 6 1/4 and can be easily sized by a jeweler. A superb diamond ring, almost 200 years old. In excellent original condition.
