Lace making kit includes: pillow, pattern, approximately 46” completed lace, 40 shuttles, provenance and basket. The majority of the shuttles have been tangled with only eight loose, shuttles are in “as in” condition as some have chips and holes. Provenance comes from newspaper and is taped down, depicts lace being made and reads: “Thurs., August 22, 1974, THE SUN.” “Giving a demonstration in lace making for Dr. and Mrs. Karl Olsen is Cleveland Heights crafts artist Sara Mattsson Anliot, a retired Cleveland Institute of Art teacher. She uses 48 bobbins to create the lace.” Hand written note on back reads “Cluny Lace. Similar to that made in Minnesota by my Grandma Lang.” Pillow measures 10” across, 7” tall and 8 1/4” wide.
