Antique crescent moon and heart brooch / pin made of turquoise and diamonds set in 18 carat gold. Most likely English. Dates to the Victorian - Edwardian period. Measures 2 1/8 inches long. Gold crescent slither of a moon with tiny raised jewels in gold at either end. Set with gradated cabochon turquoise gems. A heart, entirely made of diamonds is ''looped'' around the moon. Clearly a marvellous romantic gift in a chivalrous age. The back has engraved hallmark 18CT. The piece is entirely original with no damage or restoration. Great condition.
