This emerald brooch from the early 1900s has a salamander motif. The one-hundred and nine mixed cut and polished emeralds have an intense dark green colour and weigh a combined total of 8.00ct. There are two round brilliant cut and polished diamonds acting as the “eyes†of the salamander, weighing 0.18ct (SI, H-I). The brooch has a hinged pin assembly with a slide tube safety lock.
