Racing box,Antique Engraved Pewter car racing Box. Hallmarked on the bottom. This French engraved pewter container measures 10 and one eighth inches wide and is 3 and three eighths inches deep and depicts an early car that would have been used in cross country racing at the beginning of the 20th century. This very rare antique car memorabilia pewter box stands 1 and one quarter inches tall. Engraved scene depicts a motor car on the road in the country. Early car memborabilia from this period is extremely difficult to find. This piece was purchased in Paris over 20 years ago. Hallmarked on base.
