Exceptional and strking Rookwood Pottery panther bookends in superior two-tone dark bronze to grey glaze. Good mold. One bookend is MINT CONDITION with no chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Other bookend has a shallow chip to back and a tight horizontal hairline crack that is entirely confined to the backside and does not go through. Leaves around rim of stand within yellow rope twist borders. Mauve interior. Air hole to top of cover. Mottled underside to stand with three stilt marks inside the foot. Good.
