Victorian, circa 1870 George Jones Majolica cheese dome and stand. Decorated with a band of overlapping acanthus leaves on turquoise ground, with a recumbent brown cow finial on top of dome. Leaves around rim of stand within yellow rope twist borders. Mauve interior. Air hole to top of cover. Mottled underside to stand with three stilt marks inside the foot. Good. Dome: Kiln effect: small shrinkage crack to rim. Restoration to cow''s horns. Stand: Minor flaking to rope twist edge. Repaired hairline to rim. 8.75ins high, 12.25ins diameter
