Small decorative clock circa 1900 mounted in a elaborate gold gilt frame with thermometer.

This thermometer is a very rare item mounted on glass with the mercury contained in a spiral glass tube as shown. The brass metal parts have been gilded with gold professionally.

This item is the result of an agreement between Great Britain and France then patented. The clock thermometer manufactured by the British United Clock Co .,Birmingham, England, also has the unique feature of concentric winding and setting at the center back.
