Here is an extremely comfortable pair of armchairs made from solid walnut by the middle part of the 20th century. This impressively massive pair is covered by floral upholstery trimmed by large brass nails and featured a boldly sculpted pair of acanthus shaped armrests flanking the large seat, all supported by a sturdy pediment with barley twisted stretchers that insure stability and sturdiness.
