George III Chippendale mahogany slant front bureau/bookcase Secretary mounted on ogee bracket feet with straight apron and five drawers below the writing surface with cockbeaded drawer surround and original bat wing backplate and bail design pulls and escutcheons. The interior is outfitted with pigeon holes and shaped front drawers wth knob style brass pulls on either side of a center enclave fronted document drawer. The upper double door section has an inset panel with shaped upper corner center to the outside edge consisting of a flat stop fluted design on a blocked base with a Cornithian capital with a straight molding, band dentil work and archectural broken pediment cornice with dentil banding and centered plinth panel.
