Here is a very rare Danish Modern kuttrolf decanter. This was part of the Schnapps Doctor series made at the Holmegaard Glass Works in Denmark and designed by Michael Bang. They were only produced in 1973. This one is a double kuttrolf. Actually one kuttrolf blown atop another. A very bizarre, but also functional, design!
These highly desirable bottles are sometimes called kluck klucks or glugs because of the sound liquid makes when they are poured quickly. However, these types of bottles were not designed to pour swiftly, but rather slowly so the air runs up one tube while the liquid runs down another providing a very smooth flow. The design dates back to Roman times.
Perfect mint, crystal clear glass, never used condition with original label completely intact. You will never find a better example! About 11” tall.
