This charming panel depicts a young boy in renaissance costume of yellow tunic and purple tights aiming his bow and arrow at a duck sitting on a pond. A thick bunch of cattails stand between the duck and the hunter. The panel is entirely hand painted then glazed, possibly at the factory, since there is no signature showing. The four six-inch tiles are mounted on board and framed in wood, the board covering the tile manufacturers marks. The collector I got this from said that they purchased this in England and the tiles were by Mintons. The condition remains excellent and ready to hang.
