Pottery dish by New Zealand potter, Martin Poppelwell. Monochrome, black on fawn slip body over terracotta. The motif is two birds "les oiseaux" and "die vogel" (French & German for "the birds"). Martin Poppelwell is one of New Zealand’s leading contemporary artists and this a beautiful item for a discerning art collector. Dish measures 25.5 cm diameter and stands 5 cm high. Excellent condition.
