A large ROBUST sword with a magnificent large hilt. Overall 45”. The double fuller French blade is a circa 1800 replacement. The fullers being hand cut and irregular. Testifying to its great age. The sword’s owner must have wanted a lighter weight blade, (more stylish for the times) making the sword easier to wield.
