Here is a very good circa 1690, rare and authentic, John Hathaway plug bayonet. Signed with his 3 blazing stars inlaid in copper on the blade. Wonderful helmeted heads on pommel and quillon ends! Very good HORN grip, decorated with brass tacks, with no cracks. Plug bayonet comes with its silver mounted scabbard that may be an old replacement. However it is the correct type and correct age for the bayonet so it may be original. Overall very nice condition with age wear and a few blade edge nicks.
