Walter Crane Rondeau Seed time signed working manuscript 1888, with annotations by the editor in pencil. Scarce handwritten poem; it was suggested to the illustrator by William Morris to write his own poems to illustrate, of which this is a scarce example. Four years later the poem was published in the bundle Renascence 1892.
Quite a wonderful sonnet by this, one of the most regarded Victorian illustrators, together with Kate Greenaway and Charles Robinson.
