Extreme rarity, one off, super high standard, top professional quality electric solid body hand built by Richard Sheeks, top luthier and professional guitar builder. BUILT FROM 2 PIECES OF SOLID FLAMED MAPLE, FROM TOP OF HEAD-STOCK TO BOTTOM OF LOWER BOUT, RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER!!! Only 2 blocks of wood were used in this guitar’s construction, split right down the middle from the top of headstock to the bottom of lower bout. Amazing piece of workmanship, displaying the finest build a top luthier can hope to accomplish! If you retained a master luthier to build you a guitar like this expect to pay at least $6,000. - $8,000. The photos do not do her justice. She has never been gigged with and is always kept in a clean, climate controlled, non smoking home. She has never left my home and was only used on a few recordings over the years. I spoke on the phone to “Rick” Sheeks, while he was living in Florida in 2015. We had a nice conversation and he told me he studied under Brian Gallop of Gallop Guitars in Big Rapids, Michigan. Rick told me that he a luthier whose primary business is guitar restoration, but from time to time builds something unique. Oh man, IS THIS ONE UNIQUE!!! Rick told me that he could build any type of guitar that I like! Guitar is very near mint overall. Gorgeous flamed maple throughout, abalone bindings and large abalone fret-board inlays, duel PRS humbuckers, stainless frets (NO WEAR) and a gorgeous black walnut fret-board and gold German Schaller tuners. Low action, straight neck, perfect stainless frets make this guitar play like cutting through butter!!! Guitar comes with original Gator soft shell case in new condition.
