Richard Bishop, American, 1887-1975, etching, "Getting Out", image size: 8 3/4 x 14 7/8 inches, pencil signed and titled, signed "R E Bishop" in the plate lower right, framed. Formally trained as an engineer, Bishop was a primarily self-taught artist. His pictures of Canadian Geese were used as the basis for the third Federal Duck Stamp.
