Russian Silver and Enamel Open Salt with a Glass insert and a silver spoon. The salt is marked "IOMMET" on the bottom. ORIGIN: Soviet Era Russian Circa 1940-1950's. This piece features a silver holder that stands on three short legs. The sides are decorated with a green and ruby enamels against a silver background. It also has a fitted glass liner. It measures 1 1/4" in height and the diameter is 2 1/4" in width. This is a nice salt and in very good condition. Featured in Heacocks 5000 OPEN SALTS on page 101 Item 2026.   « Less

C. 1920'S Scofield Baltimore Rose Repousee Baltimore Rose Rare Salt Cellars. Starting around the turn of the 20th Century in Baltimore, Maryland there were several silversmiths. Scofield, Kirk and Stieff were the main players. The Repousse pattern is known as Baltimore Rose. Also the Scofield is all hand chased. Collectors and Dealers and Shops referred to these patterns as Baltimore Rose. This pattern by all three companies is very collectible all over the United States and I imagine also in Europe. Salts are Rare and we recently purchased these four salts along with many other pieces of Schofield Baltimore Rose out of a Baltimore Home in Roland Park. Each one of these salts are the same exact size. 1 1/8" in height and 1 3/4" in diameter. All of the Baltimore is hand chased. Each of these salts are supported by nice porportioned legs with a charming foot. They all are marked sterling. Also the #1037 is stamped into the silver on the bottom which designates a pattern name, baltimore rose, designated by the Schofield Company. Their is also a makers mark stamped on to each of the fine salts. also each of the salts on the bottom is a very "fancy" monogram, which appears to be MS. We are including images of all this stamped on the bottom of each salt. All of these marks are show in separate images of the bottom of each salt. THREE ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.   « Less

Circa 1890-1910 Beautiful Silverplate and Cobalt Glass open salt cellar. This piece is unmarked. Origin is either American or English. This oval salt has a silver holder that stands on four claw and ball footed legs. It has a gorgeous open work pattern or Scrollwork and Filigree. It has a fitted cobalt glass liner. This very exceptopnal piece is 1 7/8" tall and is 3" long. Condition is Extremely Good with no chips or cracks to the liner. There are no breaks or bends to the fine silver holder and only some very light wear to the raised edges of the open work patter.   « Less

This is a Very Nice Silver Plate and Enamel Open Salt and Matching Silver Spoon. Both of these pieces are marked "IOMMET". Origin: Soviet Era Russian Circa 1940-1950's. This piece features a silver holder that stands on three short legs. The sides are decorated with a beautiful green and ruby enamels against a silver background. Silver on Copper very interesting and unusual Cobalt Glass Open Salt Cellar. This piece is marked with what appears to look like "A.M." in a Diamond and "M.I.I." in a diamond along with mark that I can not read. Appears to be dutch in origin and I would date it to late 19TH or Early 20TH Century This silver boat shaped salt stands on four legs. It has a Cathedral Arch openwork pattern around the sides. It has an ill Fitting cobalt glass liner that works but is apparently not original. This very interesting and unusual salt is 2 1/4" Tall and 3 7/8" Long. Condition is Average. There are a few small edge chips to the liner that could probably be polished out. There is some wear to the plate but no breaks, scratches or bends.   « Less
